Fiorentina’s Moise Kean Released from Hospital After On-Field Collapse Following Head Injury

Fiorentina and Italy forward Moise Kean has been discharged from the hospital after collapsing on the pitch due to a head injury sustained during Sunday’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona.

The 24-year-old striker appeared unsteady in the 64th minute before suddenly collapsing, prompting immediate medical attention. He was stretchered off and transported to a Verona hospital for further evaluation.

“ACF Fiorentina confirms that Moise Kean was released from the hospital in Verona overnight and has returned to Florence,” the club stated on Monday, adding that medical tests yielded no concerning results.

Kean’s collapse followed an accidental collision, where replays showed his head making contact with an opponent’s knee as he fell after a challenge. Although he initially received treatment and resumed playing, he went down again minutes later.

Currently Fiorentina’s top scorer in Serie A with 15 goals, Kean has been instrumental in the team’s push for a top-six finish. The former PSG, Juventus, and Everton forward has also earned 19 caps for Italy, scoring five times for the national squad.

Kean is the second Fiorentina player to experience a medical emergency on the field this season. In December, Edoardo Bove collapsed during a match against Inter Milan and was later fitted with a heart defibrillator.
