Taylor Rooks Joins Amazon NBA Coverage and Announces Surprise Wedding
Sports journalist Taylor Rooks made headlines this week by announcing her surprise wedding, sharing photos of the ceremony on Instagram. The news caught many fans off guard, as Rooks had kept her relationship private.
Rooks is set to expand her broadcasting career by joining Amazon’s NBA coverage this fall. She will host Amazon’s NBA studio show as Prime Video begins its first season as an official NBA partner. Rooks has previously worked with Amazon on “Thursday Night Football,” where she conducted player interviews and reported from the sidelines.
Joining Rooks on the Amazon NBA team will be former basketball stars Blake Griffin, Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, and Candace Parker. Other well-known sports broadcasters, including Cassidy Hubbarth, Kristina Pink, Allie Clifton, Kevin Harlan, Ian Eagle, and Stan Van Gundy, will also contribute to game coverage on the streaming platform.
The NBA will continue to air on ABC and ESPN for the upcoming season, but will move to NBC, Peacock, and Amazon in the future following the conclusion of its long-term agreement with Turner Sports. Despite changes in broadcasting rights, the popular “Inside the NBA” postgame show is expected to continue on ABC and ESPN.
