Marcus Rashford Scores First Goal for Barcelona in 5-0 Friendly Victory Over Daegu FC
FC Barcelona concluded their preseason Asia Tour with a commanding 5-0 victory over Daegu FC in South Korea. This result capped a flawless run of three wins from three matches, with the team netting a total of 15 goals and conceding none on the tour.

Gavi opened the scoring in the 21st minute after a precise assist from Lamine Yamal, who was a constant threat in attack and showcased his growing influence. Robert Lewandowski doubled the lead on 27 minutes, finishing off a swift sequence of passes from the visitors. Gavi added his second just before halftime, effectively putting the match out of reach.

Coach Hansi Flick made 11 changes at the break, introducing Marcus Rashford, who joined Barcelona on loan from Manchester United last month. The changes did little to slow Barça’s momentum, as academy graduate Toni Fernández scored from close range in the 54th minute following a setup by Dani Olmo. Rashford then registered his first goal for the club in the 65th minute, finishing from the edge of the box after a pass from Eric García.

Despite heavy rain, Barcelona dominated throughout, not allowing Daegu FC a single shot on target. The only concern came late on when defender Pau Cubarsí was forced off with a minor knee knock. Flick assured reporters afterward that the injury was not serious.

The team now returns to Spain, preparing to face Como 1907 in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy. With preseason form strong and newcomers like Marcus Rashford already making an impact, Barcelona look well-prepared for the upcoming La Liga campaign, which begins with a trip to Mallorca on August 16.
