Alabama defeated Georgia 24-21 on September 27, 2025, in Athens, ending the Bulldogs’ six-year home winning streak. Quarterback Ty Simpson led No. 17 Alabama with 276 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and a rushing touchdown. The Crimson Tide never trailed in the game and improved to 3-1 overall, 1-0 in SEC play.

Alabama opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 6-yard touchdown pass from Simpson to Germie Bernard. Simpson connected with Isaiah Horton for another touchdown early in the second quarter, putting Alabama ahead 14-0. Georgia answered with a 38-yard touchdown pass from Gunner Stockton to Colbie Young, but Alabama extended the lead with a field goal. After a Chauncey Bowens rushing touchdown narrowed the gap, Simpson’s 2-yard rushing score just before halftime gave Alabama a 24-14 lead.

Georgia’s Josh McCray scored a third-quarter rushing touchdown to cut the deficit to three, but Alabama’s defense held firm the rest of the way. The Crimson Tide outgained the Bulldogs 397-357 in total yards and did not commit a turnover. Simpson finished 24-of-38 passing, while running back Jase Miller contributed 46 rushing yards.
