Oregon entered the game with a 6-1 record (3-1 Big Ten), fresh off a dominant 56-10 win over Rutgers. In contrast, Wisconsin (2-5, 0-4 Big Ten) was attempting to rebound from a 34-0 defeat to Ohio State, marking their second straight shutout loss—a first for the program since 1977. The Badgers’ offense had struggled, producing just 144 total yards against the Buckeyes.
During the matchup, Oregon controlled the tempo and outgained Wisconsin 340 to 194 in total yards. Ducks quarterback Dillon Moore completed 9 of 15 passes for 86 yards, while running back J. Davison led with 102 rushing yards and two touchdowns. For Wisconsin, Hunter Simmons went 7-for-20 passing with a single touchdown, and G. Ituka rushed for 85 yards on 21 carries. Both teams played a clean game with no turnovers.
Wisconsin’s injury issues were evident, with numerous starters sidelined, including linebacker Christian Alliegro and running backs Darrion Dupree and Dilin Jones. Despite their depleted roster, the Badgers defense held Oregon to 13 points until late in the game, but ultimately could not generate enough offense to mount a comeback.
With this loss, Wisconsin extended its losing streak to six games and remains winless in the Big Ten. Meanwhile, Oregon continues its pursuit of a conference championship, bouncing back strongly from their earlier defeat to Indiana.
