The New York Knicks extended their unbeaten home record to 4-0 with a commanding 119-102 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge, delivering a season-high 33 points and collecting 13 rebounds. The Wizards started hot, shooting 72.2% in the first quarter and building a 10-point lead early in the second. Tre Johnson’s jumper put Washington ahead 32-22, and they maintained the edge until midway through the second quarter. The Knicks responded with a decisive 16-3 run, taking a 50-41 lead. Washington countered with a 13-0 stretch, highlighted by a four-point play from Bilal Coulibaly, but Towns answered with his own four-point play just before halftime. New York went into the break up 57-54. After halftime, the Knicks seized control. Leading 74-65 in the third, they went on a 17-0 run to stretch the margin to 91-65. Washington ended a lengthy drought with Marvin Bagley’s free throws, but the Knicks’ lead ballooned to 94-66 on Josh Hart’s three-pointer. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby each added 16 points for New York, with Jordan Clarkson contributing 15 off the bench. Hart posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
